With Izumi Omori, at Just Fine Art, Market Square, St Just. From Mid October to end of December. Open everyday 10.00am to 5.00pm except Sundays and Tuesdays.
The latest exhibition from Sarah Vivian and Izumi Omori is now open at Just Fine Art in St Just. This is their third shared exhibition, because although their work is very different, their paintings have a similarity of feeling and intention, linked by a mutual love of the spirit and beauty of nature. The grace and power of the natural world is their inspiration and the source of their spirituality, their outlook and their art. The title is “Inspiration”, referring to the inspiration received from the spirits of the land, the inspiration of painting itself, and the inspiration they hope to give to others. Inspiration literally means to breathe in, and refers to the concept of a divine spiritual force or influence which stimulates creativity & infuses ideas & poetic spirit into words, music and art. For many people the beauty of nature is their source of inspiration, nurture & healing, and so too are paintings which express this beauty, whether it be representational of specific times and places as in Sarah’s work, or whether it be an imaginative blending of elements as in Izumi’s work. Their paintings, shown together, offer an experience of beauty and spirit which they hope people will find inspiring.
Here are some images from the exhibition which are available as prints – please see gallery pages to order. NB Both gallery pages are in chronological order, so for these prints go to the last pages.
